About Sequent
Sequent is an innovative VC-backed startup that revolutionizes the digital election space by introducing a cryptographically secure, verifiable, and transparent online voting solution for both private and public elections. Sequent is developing an open-core, research-backed solution that utilizes advanced cryptographic algorithms to provide irrefutable mathematical proof that votes are cast and counted correctly and the election results are accurate. We help election managers have the confidence and tools they need to enable voters to vote remotely, digitally, and conveniently from anywhere in the world.
Sequent’s solution has been used in more than 200 elections to date. Over 3.2 million votes have been successfully counted on the platform across countries such as Spain, Germany, the United States, Canada, and South Africa. The platform has been utilized by local and regional government authorities, as well as public organizations such as political parties, professional associations, unions, universities, and more.
Sequent is an official member of the Amazon AWS GovTechStart Program, a dedicated program for companies focused on building the next generation of technology solutions for state and local government agencies using the AWS Cloud. In addition, Sequent is a portfolio company of the Microsoft for Startups program and an active contributor to the Microsoft ElectionGuard Project – an open-source software development kit (SDK) that makes voting more secure, transparent and accessible.
